SantaLand: This year Santa Land will be at Meyer’s Market (the former United Senior Services) for easier access and the ability to participate in the other activities while you wait.
The Grand Illumination and Holiday Tree: The Holiday in the City tree always starts with the pride of a local family donating a tree to the event. Then crowds await and cheer for the grand illumination!
Santa’s Arrival/Parade: Crowds gather and watch in anticipation of Santa’s big arrival!
Eat Street: When 15,000 people get today for hours in celebration, they are definitely going to eat! Fountain and Main will be your one stop shop for lunch, dinner and snacks! Check out who will be there!
Ramen Rickshaw – Sweet Concessions – SugarSnap! Entertainment: Our headliner is Small Town Sleeper this year. We will also see an excerpt from The Nutcracker from the Ohio Performing Arts Institute, hear the Shawnee High School Choir sing and then watch Kate Hasting Band, Cory Breth and The American Landscape before our headliner takes the stage.
Gingerbread House Decorating Contest: Let the competition for the best Gingerbread House begin! Families and individuals of all ages submit their entries for display and judging at the event. In addition, these houses will be put on display downtown for the remainder of the Holiday season!

Fireworks: One of the most popular events of the evening as well as the most asked about activity leading up to the big day! They will be visible above the Key Bank Building on the corner of Main and Fountain. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.
Trackless Train: The Trackless Train is a family favorite at the Holiday in the City event. The ride is centrally located with great visibility and participation by attendees.
